South Sudan Political Parties Youth Forum Dismiss Their Chairman

South Sudan Political Parties Youth Forum (PPYF) on Monday dismissed their Chairman, Mr. Agel Ring Machar for defecting and joining the SPLM-In Opposition, led by former Vice President Riek Machar.

JUBA 01 April 2015 [Gurtong]- Ajuet Rehan, the Acting Chairman of the PPYF said the executive office of the South Sudan Political Parties Forum in its extra ordinary meeting on Monday, passed a motion of no confidence against Agel Ring Machar.

“The meeting unanimously resolved a vote of ‘no confidence and dismissed Agel Ring Machar from his previous position of Chairmanship,” said Rehan who chaired the meeting.

“The Forum has established a committee to investigate the misconduct and inappropriate use of language during the past months” he said.

“This behavior is against the binding principles of the Forum that mandate punishments by dismissal of a member who may violate those principles as explicitly mandated under section 3, article 6 (4).”

According to the Acting Chairperson of the Youth Forum, Rehan the provision also allows the Forum to dismiss a member should a member change his/her political affiliation and have rebelled against the the Republic of South Sudan.

The meeting attended by the 11 PPF parties and reporters was held at the South Sudan Political Parties Leadership Forum chaired by the former deputy chairman now the Acting Chairman.
