YAMBIO, April 16, 2015 [Gurtong] – The Deputy Director of Wildlife Lt, Simon Mausua disclosed that his team was patrolling the national park when they came across the poachers.

"We have in many occasions warned the people not to engage in poaching but all this messages are in vain," Simon noted.

"We vow to bring this five poachers to face the law so that the rest who think killing wild animals is a way for survival or business will stop from such acts," Simon stress.

The Deputy Director said that Wildlife tourism is in a special position in the contribution it can make to development.

He also said it should be born in mind that sustainable wildlife tourism cannot thrive if we do not take care of our fragile environment. He advised those who are involved in poaching to instead look into farming.

Meanwhile the team leader of the wildlife Anthony Moody Moga  who arrested the poachers said there is no mandate that has been given to them to kill poachers so all they do is to bring them so that they face law.
