Aweil East Governor Vows To Improve Services In State
Upon his arrival on Tuesday from Juba, the State Governor of Aweil East, Deng Deng Akuei briefed his cabinet of renewed momentum in services delivery to the local population of his State, reiterating that his government is ready to improve social services.

AWEIL, 18 November 2016 [Gurtong]-“I went to Juba for an official visit, and the main purpose was to participate in the SPLM seminar. It is now approaching the dry season, and my government will not stay in their offices as all of us used to be. You must go to the field and do something for our people who want us to serve them. Health services and education among others are the priorities in my government” he said.
“Malaria season has gone and yet other challenges pertaining health are still facing our communities and it is not the only responsibility but duty of government to provide health facilities and drugs to save the lives of our people” he said.
While giving a speech to school children at the secretariat general, Governor Deng assured the children that the government is focused on improving the quality of education.
“You are the seeds of this nation, nobody should neglect your future because the struggle in the country made by leaders for security, improvement of economy is done for you and for the generation to come” he said.
He urged the public to maintain peace in the State and work towards development.
”Our State is new and there are a lot of things to be done. Our people should build houses, business stores and roads with confidence. This should be achieved through demarcation of land.” He said.
The Governor urged the people to adhere to government policies.
