TORIT, 02 March 2017 [Gurtong] – The former Eastern Equatoria State Agriculture Minister, Clement Laku Chichim was reappointed to the Agriculture and forestry ministry. He replaces the just sacked minister, Hon. Gaitano Victor Agalik.
Hon. Chichim was appointed through gubernatorial decree number 07/2017.
The Deputy Governor Hon. Itto was sacked through decree number 01/2017 while the State ministers were sacked through gubernatorial decree No.02/2017.
The sacked ministers include the Local Government minister, Ukidi Moi Ugura, Finance minister, Albino Okeny, Information, Culture, Youth and Sports Minister, Josephine Akulang Abalang and Education and Social Welfare minister, Jacob Atari Albano.
Others are the Physical Infrastructure minister, Betty Imoya Angasi and Agriculture and Forestry minister, Gaitano Victor Agalik.
The Governor further issued a decree number 03/2017 dismissing three Advisors namely; Kanuto Ekebek, Advisor on Political Affairs, Francis Oliha, Advisor on Peace and Reconciliation, and Paul Omoya Advisor on Security.
Another decree No.10/2017 relieving Oliver Wani Duku as the new Secretary General, Emmanuel Ociti Ottaviano appointed through a gubernatorial decree No.05/2017 has replaced the outgoing one.
Another gubernatorial decree No.06/2017 relieved the Torit Municipal Mayor, Eddy William Pansiano together with his deputy, Celestino Muras.
However, the Torit Municipal Mayor’s deputy Hon. Celestino Muras has been returned to his immediate position deputizing Hon. Juliana Momoi, the Mayor.
The dismissed State Commissions' Chairpersons included Galdino Ochama, Chair of Revenue Authority Commission, Modest Oroma Charles, Chair for Investment and Development Corporation Commission, Joseph Oye Joseph, Chair for Peace Commission.
Their respective Deputies who got sacked along with their bosses include, Stephen Rufo Albert who was the deputy chair for the State Revenue Authority Commission, Abraham Odong, deputy chair for Investment and Development Corporation Commission and finally Umjuma Philip, deputy Chair for Peace Commission.
Another decree No.09/2017, issued appointed a new Chairperson for the Revenue Authority Commission, Sebit Quarto replacing the outgoing Galdino Ochama.
Others State Commissions Chairpersons with their respective deputies reappointed via the gubernatorial decree No.09/2017 are Modest Oroma Charles, heads Investment and Development Corporation Commission and continues to be deputized by Abraham Odong and Joseph Oye Joseph heading Peace Commission with Umjuma Philip maintaining her position as his deputy.
