Air Fare Tickets Increase From Bor-Juba-Bor

The Manager of NG airline has said that since May this year the prices of ait tickets increased from 10,300 SSP to 12,500 SSP from Juba to Bor in Jonglei State.

BOR, 11 September 2017 [Gurtong]-Thon John said that the government of South Sudan has not introduced a law regulating commercial flights in the country.

Passengers have raise concerns about the high prices of air tickets within the country. During the rainy seasons the roads from Juba to Jonglei become impassable hence travellers are forced to use planes to travel.

Thon also said that traveling from Juba to Nimule will cost a passenger 150 US dollars.
Smile Tour another airline, charges passangers travelling from Juba to Bor and vice-versa 12,300 SSP.

Deng Atem Reth is the Customer Care and marketing officer for Smile Tour. He said there have been little complaints in the changes of transport fare as most of their customers are happy with services provided.


“If I use the road it is not safe and airline tickets are too expensive. Now we have no other option but to purchase the air ticket at 12,500 SSP”, explained a traveller who was purchasing a ticket to go to Juba from Bor.

The Director for Bor Airport civil aviation authority, Kuot John Akech attributed the crisis in South Sudan to the increase of fares.
