Humanitarian Organizations Depart To Bagari County

The Commissioner of Bagari County in Wau State, Taban John Guu has said humanitarian organizations on Monday departed to Bagari County to offer support to the vulnerable population in the area.

WAU, 05 2017 [Gurtong] –According to Taban John, the organizations have been given a green light to take humanitarian assistance to the needy population in the area.

He said that about 15,000 children are in need of vaccinations and food nutrition in the area.
“Today this morning, humanitarian organizations operating in Wau State have departde to Bagari County and I have managed to escort them up to near Bagari in an area called Natabo.” He said.

He said among the organizations that have gone to the area UNICEF, Oxfam and South Sudan Red Cross.

“In  Bagari, there is freedom of movement for the humanitarian agencies and without me, the humanitarian organizations are still free to go even one organization can go because our people know the presidential decree allowing humanitarian organizations to move. They are respecting the presidential decree that is why the organizations are going,” he said.
