Wau State Launches Malaria Survey Campaign

Wau State Ministry of Health in a joint venture with Malaria consortium on Wednesday launched a door to door malaria survey campaign.

WAU, 07 December 2017 [Gurtong] - The Director General in the Ministry, Dr. Christopher Paul Madut said the survey follows two weeks training on malaria indicators and the campaign will last for two weeks.

“It is imperative for the State Ministry to know who are at high risk of malaria for good planning purposes and that is why we are conducting this survey,” he said.

“After this survey, the ministry will use the report to determine how many people visit hospitals due to malaria cases in the annul year report,” he said.

Dr Madut called upon families to cooperate with the people in the field for the success of the campaign.

Most target areas will be former Jur River, Wau and Raja Counties respectively.
