WAU, 08 February 2018 [Gurtong]-
Speaking to journalists on Wednesday, Elia Kamilo Dimo said the State salary per month is more than 10 million pounds while the support sent from central government is only 5 million pounds which will not cover the salaries of civil servants and other State government expenses.

He said the State government in its extraordinary meeting on Tuesday resolved to send a team to the national Ministry of Finance over the matter.

“The total salary of the State per month is about ten and what we are getting is only 5 million and that is why we cannot pay our workers with the new structure fully and that is why staff in the Ministry of Finance, they sat and they come up with this modality,” said Dimo.

“In Wau State, all institutions are in place, that is why our work force is high, I think we are after Jubek State in terms of work force, that is why the deposit of the amount is 4 million and yesterday we called for a meeting to brief the people of the State so that we are on the same boat,” he said.
