Juba Stadium Banned From Hosting International Games Due To Poor Infrastructure

The Confederation of African Football-CAF, on Sunday banned South Sudan’s Juba football stadium from hosting International competitions citing its poor quality infrastructure.

JUBA, 16 April 2018 [Gurtong] -
The suspension was confirmed by the South Sudan Football Federation.

According to the South Sudan Football Federation, the association spokesperson, Alul Daniel said that the board was notified of the decision over the weekend.


 “The letter came from CAF saying that Juba stadium is not matching with international standard requirement,” he said.

Juba stadium was approved by FIFA and CAF in 2012 to host international games but after it suspension, it has been given an option to either host international home games in Uganda, Ethiopia or neighbouring Sudan.
