In a press statement, the Minister of Information and Communication, John Madol Panther Madol said that the order which was announced is not against freedom of expression and assembly in the State capital, but it is meant for people to stop idleness and go for work during the rainy season.

He said anybody found idling under trees during working hours will be dealt with by security in the State.

“We want all the security apparatus and organized forces in Gok State to implement the local order which is banning idle sitting in the town and whoever violates it will face the law of this order”. Said John Madol.
