The Governor said that “despite the current return of calm to the state, 22 people have so far died since the clashes erupted on Tuesday, carried out by some criminal attackers from neighbouring Northern Liech State. Many of our families have fled their homes after the clashes, feeling insecure. This is our concern as the state’s authority

The governor said they have deployed heavy forces to create a buffer zone to deter any more attacks.

“We have deployed the army to create a buffer zone between the two states, and yet we need more forces to top up those already on the ground”.

Northern Liech’s Information Minister Lam Tungwar said four people from Northern Liech State were killed in the attack. He blames the clashes on armed civilians from the two states on.

But Lam also acknowledged that armed men from Northern Liech State were behind last Tuesday’s attack of cattle camps in Twic State, following attack last weekend by armed civilians from Twic State who stole some cows from Liech State.
