Sudanese Community in the UK to Celebrate CPA Anniversary

We, the Sudanese Community in the UK, are commemorating the 5th anniversary of the signing of the CPA on January 9th 2010, by organizing a huge rally outside 10 Downing Street.

This will also be one year to the day until the effective end of the interim period and the beginning of the six month countdown period to the referendum.

The theme of the rally is to highlight the sensitivity and fragility of the twin events of the elections and referendum and how they can easily be subverted by the enemies of peace to push the country back into war.

The rally is supported by all the Sudanese political forces in the UK and by all major international human rights and aid organizations.   We aim to bring the plight of Sudan to the attention of the British public and politicians through this event.  It will hopefully be covered by all the major news and media networks.  It will also take place in several countries simultaneously.

We encourage as many people as possible to attend the rally.

Regards,

Thomas Mawan Muortat.
