JUBA, 6th April [Gurtong] – The Minister of Youth, Sports and Recreation in the Government of Southern Sudan, Makuac Teny Youk has issued a Ministerial order for the formation of South Sudan Provisional Football Association consisting of 17 members.
The members include: Hon. Oliver Mori Benjamin as the President and Doub Foj Jok the Vice President, Rudolf Andera Oujika as Secretary-General, Wanh Open Abeil as the Assistant Secretary, Jaden Jada Solomon as the Treasurer, Yohnais Musa Fouk to be the Assistant Treasurer, Dr. Sally Samuel Lolako the Coach Representative, Sebit Librato Bagi Rasas to be the Referee representative, Emmanuel Mataio Wani as President of Malakal Football Association, Wau Football Association, Renk and Football Association.
The following were members; Anddera Abdullah Dimity, Setilio Juba Labirik, Martin Lado Jangara, Sarah Edward Jubara and Chibor Gouj Alei.
The Minister explained that the formation was to realize the need for the development of football talent by empowering the youth for education, employment, health, recreations, participation in governance and sustainable development in building South Sudan.
According to the Makuac, the term of office for the new body was one year from the day of signing the contract.
They will manage, promote, supervise football affairs in South Sudan, and review basic rules and general regulations of the game.
The body will also prepare for the South Sudan Football Association General Assembly meetings, carry out studies and undertake procedures for membership of South Sudan in Regional and International Federation like CECAFA, CAF and FIFA.
Prepare for the formation of South Sudan Football Teams, establish and organize State Football Associations.
The body is free to solicit any material or technical support of its activities, train technical cadres and administrators. Their offices will be located in Juba.
They also need to undertake any assignment directed by the Minister and shall report to the Government of Southern Sudan through Ministry of Youth, Sport and Recreation.
