New Order for Torit Traders

Traders at Omoliha Market in the Eastern Equatoria State capital Torit have been cautioned against residing in their shops.

TORIT, 21 May 2012 [Gurtong] – The new Torit County Commissioner Major William Oyet Omoro has issued the order reminding traders at Omoliha Market on earlier order that they should not spend the night in their respective shops but find accommodation outside the market centre.

“Any person found loitering in the shopping area of the market after the shopping hours (11 PM) will be arrested by police on patrol. The shops will be under guard during the night. This order shall come to into immediate effect as from 1st June 2012”, read part of the order.

The directive has been read on state-owned radio 97.5FM and posted in public places in Torit Town.

Major Omoro was appointed early last month to replace Connell Felix Otuduha Siro who is the current State Minister for Information and Communication.
