New Lakes County Commissioners Named

The Lakes State Governor Chol Tong Mayay has announced new County Commissioners in the state’s eight counties.

RUMBEK, 02 June 2012 (Gurtong) -In the new appointments that take took effect 1 June 2102, Manyang Luk Lueth who has been the Border Advisor, Western Equatoria State has been appointed the Yirol East County Commissioner, replacing Bullen Bol Achinbai.

Majority of former Commisioners have been retained with only three new faces including Manyang Luk Lueth, Stephen Mathiang Deng, a  former logistic officer for UNICEF who replaces Isaac Mayek Noah in Rumbek North County and Mayen Kuc Adhil, SPLM County chairman SPLM to replace Matur Majok Magol in Rumbek Central.

Immediate former County Commissioners Isaac Mayom Malek of Cuiebet, David Marial Gumke of Rumbek East, David Mayom Riak of Awerial and Ezekiel Thaing Mangar of Wulu counties have retained their positions.
