YAMBIO, 08 July 2012 [Gurtong] – The acting Director General for State Ministry of General Education Bullen Nginzo announced the results at the Ministry headquarters on Wednesday.

Yambio Secondary School produced seven of the top ten students.
Out of the 179 students who sat for the examination, only 28 failed, a great improvement compared to the previous year.

“The general results in regards to those who sat for the examination is very good. The boys performed better than girls in this year”, said Nginzo.
The best student was Marko Khuol Mayen obtaining 79.7 percent, followed by fellow school mate Simon Rudolf Bate with 78.1 percent.

Philip Peter Maku was third with 77.7 percent in science followed by Jackson Earzano Austo with 75.6 percent in position four and David Augustin Ngazi 74.9 percent emerging fifth.

Fewer candidates sat for the examinations this year, a situation attributed to lack of learning equipment especially to day scholars.

The best schools in the state were: Timbiro Secondary School, Tambura Secondary School, Yabongo Girls Secondary School, Comboni Secondary School, Gbutala Secondary School, Yambio Secondary School, Nzara Secondary School, Mundri Secondary, Mvolo Secondary School and Motherland Secondary School.
