BOR, 10 July 2012 [Gurtong] – Engineer Kuol Manyang Juuk made the order a fortnight ago in efforts to ensure productivity of the youth as well as combat crime.
“I am giving the orders to the Police Commissioner to close down all the local alcoholic drink centres in town within a period of seven days,” he said at the Bor Freedom Square.
The Governor criticised some ethnic communities for denying others access to land for cultivation in Bor.
Kuol said conflict over livestock among communities in the area will be eliminated in due course.
“If a cow or a goat eats your crops it is better to report the cases to police for better resolution,” he said.
