BOR, 15 July 2012 – “I was a refugee in Kenya with people referring to me as a foreigner, now am happy to come back home”, said Mary Yom Mayen.

She said that she is happy to have participated in the liberation struggle that will also benefit generations to come.

Mayen asked for cooperation of all citizens in the new country in order to fight the challenges being encountered.

She reiterated that women too contributed immensely to the liberation struggle by offering food to the armed forces during the war and that they too should be rewarded in the government.

The association’s aim is to bring the women of Bor community together by showcasing cultural activities to the youth as most grew up in difference locations and adapted foreign cultures.
