WAU, 16 July 2012 [Gurtong] - The facility inaugurated last week in Wau by the South Sudanese Minister of Health Dr Michael Milly Hussein is the second leading eye operation centre in South Sudan after one was established in Juba last year.
Speaking to Gurtong, the centre Director and Consultant S. Jagadish said the centre will offer eye diagnostic and operation services.
Jagadish urged those with eye problems including trachoma to turn up for treatment.
During the inauguration, the Minister was accompanied by Western Bahr el Ghazal State Governor Rizik Zackaria Hassan and the State Minister of Health Isaac Cleto Hassan.
The centre is located North of Darajar town opposite Star filling station and also conducts minor eye operations.
