WAU, 02 August 2012 [Gurtong] - Hassan has called on the residents to remain calm and to report any suspicious cases to the hospital immediately.
Hassan was speaking to Gurtong in his office where he urged the government of the Republic of South Sudan and Uganda to set up a medical team along the borders to monitor movements.
There are fears that the disease in Kampala could spread into neighbouring countries.
Ebola virus is reported to have killed 14 people in Western Uganda’s Kibaale district three weeks ago.
A similar outbreak in 2000 claimed 425 lives in Uganda.
