Yambio, 03 August 2012 [Gurtong] –The workshop organised by the Tombura Yambio diocese HIV/AIDS department aimed at giving the participants knowledge and skills on how to live a negative life.
Speaking at the closure of the workshop, the HIV/AIDS Project Manager Kumboyo Phillip Wandale said the participants have acquired skills on behavioral change and how to avoid contacting the disease.
Wandale said the workshop was the final one in the one year programmethat aimed at creating HIV/AIDS awareness among the community.
He urged all the participants to go out and spread the skills acquired during the three days to those who were not able to attend.
A participant, Daniel Emmanuel Kumbo, congratulated the workshop organizers and fellow participants for having acquired skills that will transform their lives.
Kumbo advised the youth to avoid alcohol as it increases the risk of contracting and spreading the disease.
The workshop was supported by the Catholic Agency for Overseas Development (CAFOD) and Caritas International.
Participantswere drawn from eight parishes including Don Bosco, Ibba, Yambio, Nzara, Ezo,Tombura, Namiaku and Li ragu.
