YAMBIO, 04 August 2012 [Gurtong] - The purpose of the trip was to seek for partnership and assistance from the people of China on development and investment in the state.
The Governor said that he visited a number of companies and signed agreements on agriculture and infrastructure investment.
According to the Governor, the Chinese economy has grown faster because they invested in agriculture and developed their infrastructure.
Bakosoro noted that taxation laws and other rules imposed on investors were hindering investment but he added that security in the State had greatly improved to lure investors.
Bakosoro urged parents to take education seriously giving an example of China where it is illegal for parents not to take their children to school.
Governor Bakosoro was received by the Deputy Governor Sapan Abui, Acting Speaker of the State Legislative Assembly Bage James Elisa, Ministers and other dignitaries.
The Zande and Muru cultural dancers were at the airport to welcome the governor.
