KUAJOK, 07 August 2012 [Gurtong] – The Ministry of Finance directed all its institutions to prevent the usage of forms and letterheads bearing the old name of Republic of Sudan and instead change to Republic of South Sudan.
The Director for Taxation Abdul Rahman Bedi said that this was a financial directive from the Finance Minister Thomas Jal who issued a decree ordering the halt of using old financial forms.
He explained that the ministry has started using the new ‘Form 15’ belonging to the Republic of South Sudan and that the decision prevents the use of old forms.
He added that the use of the old forms would put the owner liable to accountability, and appealed to traders to inform the authorities of any employee using Form 15 of the Republic of Sudan.
The order has been communicated to the council of ministers and implementation is started in August.
