TORIT, 08 August 2012 [Gurtong] - The car belonging to the Ministry of Investment and Supply lost control and overturned hitting a tree where the three were sheltered.
Those who sustained serious injuries were flown by the UNMISS helicopter to Juba for specialised medical attention.
The state government has promised to help the bereaved families in transporting the bodies to Jonglei State for burial.
The driver of the vehicle is under police custody waiting for further investigation into the cause of the accident.
Several cars have been involved in accidents in the town since the beginning of the year, with police attributing them to careless driving.
