BOR, 17 August 2012 –
Bor County Commissioner Maker Lual said the two were arrested when raiders suspected to have come from Bor County raided Pibor County and stole cattle.

“We received reports that the rustlers arrived in Anyidi and were intercepted by the army”, said Lual.

During the incident, two people were shot and injured as they run towards Makuach Payam in the Northern side. The injured are still on the run.

Six cows were also killed during the fighting. Police have been deployed in the area to monitor the movements of the raiders.

The police have reported that over 500 heads of cattle had been stolen in the area.

Early this month, suspected cattle rustlers stole 60 heads in Wal-Gak Payam in Akobo County.

Today two culprits have been arrested by the county authority and the investigation is still on process to find out the location of the cattle.
