YAMBIO, 01 September 2012 [Gurtong] - In an interview with Gurtong Hussein Enoka of the National Congress Party (NCP) appreciated the governor for the wise decision to bring the two organs of the government together adding that this is the cooperation the state assembly has been looking for.
“Before the coming of Bakosoro as the governor of this state the minority group have been leaving with fear of killing and arrest,” he said.
A Member of the NCP was killed in Yambio in 2010. An investigation Committee was formed to probe the matter but the findings have not been released.
He said with the new government all political parties are working together and enjoying the freedom of speech in the state.
Enoka urged the state governor to continue with the reforms in Western Equatoria state as he stated during his election campaign.
The minority group also urged the government to work hand in hand with the new leadership of the Assembly in order to change the shape of the Assembly.
