WAU,08 September 2012[Gurtong]- The state began issuing the civil servant July salaries with a huge cut leaving them with 45 percent of their pay.

Many parliamentarians who condemned the pay cut given that the prices of goods and commodities have been increasing steadily in the country.

The Deputy Speaker Edward Ukunjere has promised to hold a meeting to discuss the matter.

In May, Western Bahr el Ghazal state Legislative Assembly members of Parliament unanimously rejected the 2012 – 2013 allocated budget based on 2008 disputed census results.
