WAU, 30 September 2012 [Gurtong] - On Thursday, two countries signed series of deals including an agreement to grant citizens of each country the freedom of movement and work, border security and resumption of oil production and export through Port Sudan.

Naro said that it is a great move toward peace and co-existence between the two states and development will prevail if the two countries sustained peace and harmony.

Adam described the signing as a positive commitment toward implementing the outstanding unresolved post referendum issues.

However the two countries failed narrowly to break the deadlock over the contested region of Abyei. He appealed for the two sides to settle the remaining issues amicably for the benefit of their people.
