JUBA,  07 October 2012 [Gurtong] - South Sudan government Spokesperson Dr. Barnaba Marial told press in Juba that his government is expecting a high powered Sudanese government delegation to arrive Juba in the next coming days.

“I want to assure you that there will be a high delegation from Khartoum that will visit South Sudan in the coming days. We want to form an ad hoc monitoring committee to see the implementation of the agreements especially on banking, trade and the rest,” Marial said.

Sudanese President Omar Al Bashir is also expected to arrive in Juba to cement full implementation of the agreement with his counter part, South Sudanese President Salva Kiir.

Marial said Bashir is expected to arrive “but his arrival date is not yet scheduled.”

The two countries after signing a partial deal on nine agreements last week in the Ethiopian Capital Addis Ababa, they have been urged to fully commit themselves on full implementation.

The United Nations and The Elders have strongly voiced concern for full implementation of the deal by the two countries, saying there is no peace for the duo in the absence of the other.
