Government Delegation Arrives From India

The Western Equatoria State government delegation arrived back from an official visit to India with promises of bringing in more investors.

YAMBIO, 09 October 2012 [Gurtong] - Speaking during his arrival at Yambio Airstrip, the Minister of Commerce Trade and Investment Simon Ngbiidigi stated that they had travelled to India to promote the state and attract investors.

He said that they had discussions with the government officials in India who promised to promote small cottage industry in Western Equatoria State.

Other areas of focus during the trip included discussions about the tarmacking of the Juba-Yambio road.

He said that the a delegation will arrive in Yambio in a week’s time to carry out a feasibility study on establishing a Television Station and assess Nzara Factory.

Experts from India will be visiting Western Equatoria to train the locals on developing a master plan for a modern city.

 Others in the delegation included Minister of Agriculture West Yugule, Minister of Information Barnaba Kisanga, Minister of Education Pia Philip and Director for Public Relations Justin Wanis.
