November 29, 2008 (JUBA) – Sudan’s national capital, Khartoum, and the capital of the semi-autonomous Government of Southern Sudan, Juba, are now connected by all-weather road after they were cut off from each other by the two decades of war between North and South that ended in January 2005.

RUMBEK, Nov 29 (Gurtong) – Four Cueibet County chiefs have been suspended following an increase in insecurity and conflicts amongst communities living in the area.

The acting Lakes State Governor, Honourable Awan Guol Riak, suspended the four following their incapability to end the long standing inter-ethnic feuds that have resulted into several deaths and massive loss of property.
