The function was organised by the Southern Sudanese community Association of Western Australia and attended by people from all corners of the Sudan; more importantly, some important guests from outside the Sudanese social strata were also present.

RUMBEK, 25th March (Gurtong) - The Governor of Lakes state, Daniel Awet Akot and local chiefs received about 264 returnees coming from Khartoum in Rumbek last Friday evening. The digntaries were accompanied by officials from the United Nation International of migration (UN-IOM) and South Sudan Relief and Rehabilitation commission (SSRRC) with some few police accompanied the returnees.
