WAU, 15 December 2013 [Gurtong] - On Sunday, hundreds of Non Governmental Organisation officials and foreign businessmen lined up at Wau Airport waiting for South Sudan Kush Airliner which flies from Wau to Juba.

Many passengers who spoke to Gurtong at Wau airport said launching an international flight from Wau Airport to other destinations would make transportation easy.

An Indian businessman identified himself as Michael Tyseal; working in Wau said it is very difficult to get a flight ticket from Juba to Dubai.

A Ugandan working with UN said the difficulty in getting air tickets from Juba to other to Entebbe is very difficult and he may have to spend a few days in Juba before connecting to Kampala.

A Travel Consultant with Bright Hope Tours and Travel in Juba Judith Munduru said bookings to most East African countries up to 23 December 2013are full.

Only Kush Air and South Sudan Supreme operate national fights from Juba to Wau which are not even daily.  Many foreign nationals who are working in Wau fear being trapped within as Christmas nears.
