WAU, 20 June 2014- (Gurtong) - The order has nothing to do with other activities like local dances which are also taking place at the same square over the weekends.

The order came into effect following last Sunday’s wrestling clashes between the section of Atuod Dinka and Agar of Lakes state. According to the order extended to Gurtong, the wrestling is illegal because they are causing insecurity since it escalated into a sectional fighting last Sunday.

The order was applauded by Wau town resident’s describing the competition as cruel in their peaceful state.

The resulting sectional fighting between the two wrestling groups was quelled by the police forces as scores of people sustained some minor injuries on the heads and were rushed to the hospital.
