University Of Bahr el Ghazal Graduated Over 400 Students

University of Bahr el Ghazal has graduated 428 students who had completed four years in different courses of diploma and bachelor degrees in public Health and Education. The graduation is the 8th for University of Bahr el Ghazal since 2005 with students enroll from across the country.

WAU, 16 June 2014- (Gurtong) - Government representatives from Warrap, Western Equatoria State, Northern Bahr el Ghazal and Lakes state joined hundreds of parents and the graduands to mark momentous occasion the occasion.

The Western Bahr el Ghazal state SPLM deputy chairperson Anthony Waderif was the guest of honor while the state minister of Education Michael Madut Chan represented the state governor.

The occasion was also marked with jubilation by the parents of the students. The University administration was unable to organise the function but the students took charge of it.

Speaking during the graduation, Hon. Madut Chan urges the students to use the knowledge they have acquired to help in rebuilding the young nation. He also urged parents to open a new page with their children whom they have been taking care of since nursery school.

“It was not easy to reach today’s graduation and I hope these students will bring more changes not only to you the parents but for the whole South Sudan,” he said.

“The graduation of these young fresh mind-students will bring peace to the people of South Sudan and they will help our country in reforming its national economy since most of these students are graduates from economic section.”

He calls on the students to work for the unity of people of South Sudan to make the country of one people, one nation as per theme of graduation.

Warrap state information minister Paul Gum urged the education graduates to go to Warrap and apply for employment since the Warrap state need teachers.

The student’s representative Atek Lual said the organization of the graduation was only made by the students who recently completed their exams to give a farewell to the institute after being at it for more than six years.
