EES Parliament Breaks For Recess
Eastern Equatoria State Lawmakers have broken off for a three-month recess effective from December 21, 2015, until March 21, 2016.

The State Governor, Louis Lobong Lojore, tasked parliamentarians to exert more efforts in intensifying awareness to their respective constituencies about the ongoing implementation of the Compromise Peace Agreement (CPA).
While addressing the house during the closure, the Speaker clarified to the State Legislators that before Parliament reopens next year in March they may be called back for national duties.
The Speaker appreciated the latest commitment by the National government under the leadership of President Salva Kiir on the implementation of the peace deal which was signed in August this year.
He asked everyone to stand with the government towards the implementation of the peace agreement.
The Speaker revealed that the Parliament, during the last three months recorded achievements which included deliberations and finally passing of 16 Policy Statements for the existing 16 State Ministries and endorsing a number of Parliamentary Committees' reports among others.
Governor Lobong urged citizens to warmly welcome the SPLM-In Opposition as brothers and sisters and not reluctantly because it was time for the people of South Sudan to reconcile and forgive each other.
