SPLM Members From Wau Head To Juba For Extraordinary Convention

The office of Wau State SPLM secretariat has today sent 68 delegates to Juba to attend the Sudan People's Liberation Movement extraordinary National Convention scheduled for tomorrow.

WAU, 06 January 2016 [Gurtong] - Speaking to Gurtong at Wau airport, the State’s Party secretary, Valentino Majok Majok said the meeting will discuss the passing of the party’s basic documents and the Arusha agreement.

“The aims of the meeting as we have heard from the party’s Spokesman comrade Bol Makueng, some days back, he stated very clear that the meeting is going to discuss issues to do with passing the basic documents of the party and again the issue to do with the Arusha agreement, and the reunification of SPLM,” said Majok.

“This delegation is about 68 members of the SPLM plus some members who came from other states. These are the members going to attend the meeting. The extraordinary convention in Juba, as you hard some days back, that meeting is going to convene on the 7th which is tomorrow.”

He also acknowledged that members from the SPLM IO and SPLM former detainees are going to be part of the convention.
