Eastern Bieh Governor Appoints Caretaker Commissioners

The State Governor of Eastern Bieh, Major General Peter Bol Kong on Monday issued a gubernatorial decree appointing Caretaker Commissioners for the three Counties in the State.

BOR, 16 March 2016 [Gurtong] – Governor Peter appointed Hon. Peter Mabor Bol, former Commissioner of Uror County as the Caretaker Commissioner of Uror County.

He reinstated Hon. Nyang Chuol Dhuor, the former Commissioner of Nyirol as the Caretaker Commissioner of Nyirol County and Mr. Justin Tayin Kok, former Executive Director of Akobo County as the Caretaker Commissioner of Akobo County respectively.

In the Governors decree the appointed Commissioners will carry out their normal duties as Caretaker Commissioners till further decentralization of the Counties is realised.

It also added that the Commissioners are also required to coordinate closely with the Adhoc Technical committee for the establishment of the State at its headquarters.

Eastern Bieh State is one of the four newest States recently created out of the indigenous Jonglei State in 2015.
