New Number Plates Launched In Aweil

The newly unified plate numbers in South Sudan were on Monday launched in Aweil East State with all vehicle owners advised to acquire them.

AWEIL, 12 May 2016 [Gurtong]- The Police Commissioner in the State, Major General Elias Kosta Faustino said that it is a big achievement for the government as it will come with a positive impact as he explained the different colours of the plate numbers.

“The number plates in yellow are meant for government; black for business people while green is for personal car, said Elias Kosta.

He called on all motorists to follow the procedures required and produce all required documentation in order to get the new number plate.

Meanwhile, the State Governor, Ronald Ruay who was present during the launch of the new number plates thanked the National Ministry of Interior for setting up a good system.
He urged the traffic police to begin issuing State official vehicles with the new numbers.
