President Kiir Relieves Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Cirino Hiteng

President Salva Kiir Mayardit, Tuesday evening relieved Dr. Cirino Hiteng Ofuho from his duties as the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

JUBA, 12 July 2016 [Gurtong]-
The Republican Decree decree No.281 signed by President Salva Kiir Mayardit came into effect on 12th July 2016.

 Dr. Cirino was appointed and sworn in, in April this year following the formation of the Transitional Government of National Unity (TGoNU) that unified the SPLM members.

The TGoNU formed in April 29th 2016 comprises of 30 ministers and 8 deputies of whom, 16 are from the SPLM in Government, 10 from the SPLM in Opposition, 2 from SPLM Former Detainees and 2 for other Political Parties.

Dr. Cirino is a member of the Former Detainees also known as the SPLM-FD or SPLM Leaders.

Dr. Cirino who holds a BA, MA and Ph.D. in International Relations from Universities in Kenya and the United Kingdom has served in the previous government in different ministerial portfolio including as the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports.
