JUBA, 28 June 2017 [Gurtong]-In interview with Gurtong over the weekend during the launch of his new song called Moyo, Abuna Gift stressed that his music is educative thus using it to advise the society and teach how to shun from bad practices.

Abuna began singing in 2007, first as a member in a choir in one of the churches in Western Equatoria currently known as the Budue State.

He now has 47 tracks since he started his music career.

“Among all my tracks, I love corruption Africa and the reason why I love it is because corruption is so rampant in Africa thus I just felt like advising people about this vice” said Abuna.

“I felt that I have the confidence of talking and advising people, I do not have the power to organize people and advise them in one place but through music I can reach many without bringing them together.”

“I have learnt a lot of thing since I started my music career, music has united me with a lot of people from various places perhaps I have learnt a lot of cultures from those” said Abuna.

He however said that the only challenge he has faced since he began his music career is lack of financial support.
