Wau State Health Sciences Institute Graduates 19 Students

Wau State Health Sciences Institute on Monday graduated 19 students who have completed their three years medical clinical training.

WAU, 13 February 2018 [Gurtong] - Speaking to Gurtong during the graduation ceremony, the principle of the institute, Pasqule Dot-Aki said the grandaunts will be required to now use the acquired skills to help the people of South Sudan in promoting health services to the citizens.

He said the students have under gone several trainings on the health principles.

“Well we are graduating 19 students of which 12 are male and 7 are female as Clinical Officers. They have undergone a very comprehensive curriculum that was designed by South Sudan,” said the principle.

“This is the first group infact for this institute, after this graduation today they will be doing internships for 12 months and thereafter, we are going to assign them to different parts of South Sudan,” he added.

On her part, Veronica Amose who is among the graduates called on Wau State communities to send their children to Wau Health Sciences Institute to acquire medicinal skills for those who have interest in that field.

“My message to the community, I would like to encourage the community of Western Bahr el Ghazal State, those who are still having students in secondary schools, let them encourage their students to study in this Wau Health Sciences Institute. It is a very good school and we are the first to start the school,” said Amose.

“After finishing, I would like offer my services to the community; I would like to help the community with my skills I got from Wau Health Sciences Institute,” she said.
