South Korean Peacekeepers Donate 12 Container Rooms To Bor Municipality

Bor town Mayor Ghai Makhor has confirmed they have received 12 container rooms from ROK H MEC,a South Korean contingent, working under UNMISS, as part of partnership in development.

BOR, 01 January 2018 [Gurtong]-
"we are grateful and thankful for recieving these containers from the Republic of South Korean, they will help us to expand Bor municipal council offices." said Makhor.

Commander of the Rok HMEC, Weon  Senng, says his contingent has provided city hall with container rooms in order to increase capacity for office accommodations.

He says his team planted a Mango tree to symbolize building relationship between South Sudan and South Korean people.

"We have seen that Bor Town council are lacking office space  that's why we donate these 12 containers and more needs to be done in Bor municipality. This is not our first support we have been doing a lot in terms of development in Jonglei State" he said

Weon said the South Korean peace keepers working under United Nations Mission in South Sudan will continue to render necessary support to Jonglei State government to achieved long lasting peace in the country.

The 12 facilities will be used  for offices including the Mayor's office.
