JUBA, March 3, 2010 (Gurtong) – The Coordinator for DOT Music Ward and DOT + Music Award, Khamish Moris told Gurtong on Wednesday in Juba that they are working to get the participants for the final nomination list in all the categories.
According to Moris they started the launching in Yei, Maridi and now in Juba and the team shall be going to Yambio, Torit, Jonglei and the list continues in all the states to get all the artists who fit each category.
“We have registered in Juba over 3o artists who shall all be performing live this Saturday in Nyakuron Cultural Center. Each artist will perform his or her best top four songs that will make him/her go through nomination to the finals.” Said Moris.
The Director for DOT + 249 Johnson added that registration is free and they have agreed with each artist who has registered that since they are competing for the final nomination, they are not going to be paid yet until the finals when winners shall be paid not less than 2,000 Sudanese pounds.
“We intend to finish touring all the States in August 2010 and start preparing for the finals on Saturday 6th of November 2010 in Nyakuron Cultural Center sponsored by DOT+249, Miraya FM and a deal is soon going through with the mighty Vivacell mobile network.” Johnson explained.
“Voting for the artists shall first start by sending SMS to a phone number that we shall soon provide for each artist as he/her code number for voting.” He further explained.
The Speaker of DOT + 249 said the event includes Southern Sudan heavy weight artists, Emmanuel Kembe, Lasu Emma, JJD Musica International, Freedom Boyz, Lam Tungwar, Coozos Clan, Nicky Tid, John Junub, Rihmers, Southern Voice, the Rebel Squared, Mr. Lense, Dup pure, Nyapal Lul, JKP, PNC, K. Deng, Raster Jimmy, Unique Arafat, Hallamo De Pari, Queen Zee and many more.
Entrance fee for VIPs will be 30 SDG and ordinary Guys only 20 SDG. The show will start at 6:00 pm till dawn and DJ Rastingo shall do the mixing.
