JUBA, 14 May 2010 (Gurtong) –  “My government is going to be inclusive just as the President said  in his speech that he would form an inclusive Government of Southern Sudan”, he told reporters in Juba early this week.

He added that all the seven ethnic communities in Western Equatoria State need representation in government in order to foster unity and belongingness.

Bakosoro, the only independent candidate to win in the gubernatorial elections in South Sudan in last month’s polls, said despite the SPLM’s 99 percent win across South Sudan, other political parties should be included in governance structures to foster unity.

“We shall not form a government without other political parties and we shall include SPLM-friendly parties and who share in the party’s vision”, he said.

He promised that under his leadership the SPLM is secured in Western Equatoria, adding that the state will remain the party’s stronghold.

“Through me the SPLM will succeed in the referendum as I will personally engage in educating and directing South Sudanese on the right path to take”, said Bakosoro.

He added that his government will open talks with the Ambororo cattle keepers in the state to ascertain their origin and establish how the government can contribute to the betterment of their lives.

“I will also strive to resolve the long-standing border disputes in the state”, he said.

The Governor-elect, who is due to be sworn into office later next week, also called upon his statesmen and women to be open on their HIV/ AIDS status in order for them to access treatment and live better lives.
