Elected SSLA and NLA members to meet in Juba

Elected members of the Southern Sudan Legislative Assembly (SSLA) and the National Legislative Assembly (NLA) to meet in Juba on Friday 14th May

JUBA 13 May 2010 (SPLM) - The leadership of the SPLM has called upon all SPLM candidates who won seats at the Southern Sudan Legislative Assembly (SSLA) and the National Legislative Assembly (NLA) to convene in Juba for an important two-day policy meeting.

The  meeting, which is expected to kick off on 14th at three o'clock at Nyakuron Cultural Center in Juba, will discuss important policies, strategies and priorities that the SPLM and the Government of Southern Sudan (GOSS) plan to implement once the government is formed.

On Wednesday, the SPLM convened a similar policy meeting chaired by the SPLM Chairman and GOSS President-elect Cde. Salva Kiir Mayardit, the nine(9) SPLM governor-elects of Southern Sudan, SPLM State Chairpersons, SPLM Secretaries and deputies at the Southern Sector and SPLM State Secretaries.

In a letter distributed to the media and addressed to all elected SSLA and NLA members, the Deputy Secretary General of the Southern Sector Cde. Dr. Anne Itto kindly called on the all members to attend the meeting.

The letter also listed the following numbers to call in case the invited members needed more information.
