AWEIL, 10 June 2010 (Gurtong) – More than 15 children suffering from acute diarrhoea are being admitted to hospital daily since Monday this week.

Two children have been so far been transferred to Aweil Civil Hospital for further medical attention.

A mother of four, Mary Anoon told Gurtong at Aweil Civil Hospital’s Child Health Care Unit that her daughter has been passing watery diarrhoea and was lucky to have hired a mini van to take her to hospital before her situation got worse.

“I did not think that my daughter’s health would improve, but she is now recovering. I thank Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF France) for supporting child health care in Aweil Town”, she said.

The MSF France Medical Assistant in Aweil  Mr Kon Kon confirmed that there is severe outbreak of  diarrhoea in Marialbai and added that many cases have been so far been referred to Aweil Town for further  treatment.

“I am however, glad to report that no deaths related to the disease have so far been reported”, he said.

Oh! GOSS your people are suffering in Northern Bahr al Gahzal from diarrhoea. Can you rescue them by creating more health cares in the areas out side Aweil town. Many people can get save, if that is done.

By this time sufferring cann't be like before during the civil war time because it seems now as we have got little freedom.
