South Sudan National Anthem Choir
The Anthem was composed by the University of Juba Students from the College of Arts, Drama & Music; they won in the Completion out of 36 Musicians invited to compose tunes for the wardings draft by the Technical Committee. Therefore, the National Choir of the South Sudan National Anthem consists of Students from the University of Juba, Church Choir Members, officials from the various Government Institutions and Members from the SPLM.
Proposed National Anthem for the Republic of South Sudan:
Oh God!
We praise and glorify you
For your grace on South Sudan,
The land of great abundance
Uphold us united in peace and harmony
Oh motherland!
Arise! Raise your flag with the guiding star
And sing songs of freedom with joy,
For peace, justice and liberty
Shall forever more reign.
Oh great warriors!
Let us stand up in silence and respect
Saluting our martyrs whose blood
Cemented our national foundation,
We vow to protect our nation.
So Lord, bless South Sudan!
