Relocation of Capital City to Ramciel!
"We welcome this bold decision to relocate the capital city to Ramciel in Lakes state!"
Press Statement
Fangak Youth Union welcomes the relocation of the capital city to Ramciel!
Fangak Youth Union would like to take this glorious opportunity to thank and congratulate the council of ministers under the chairmanship of General Salva Kiir Mayardit, the president of the Republic of South Sudan for the bold decision to relocate the capital city of the republic of South Sudan to Ramciel in its first meeting on Friday last week. The move came a day after the ministers took oath of office in front of the president. We welcome this bold decision to relocate the capital city to Ramciel in Lakes state!
We would also like to thank the committee tasked to look for a suitable and spacious location befitting the republic of South Sudan, headed by H.E. Gen. Oyay Deng Ajak, the former minister of Investment in the defunct government of Southern Sudan (GOSS) and now the minister of national security RSS, for having carefully studied all the options available by then; and for respecting the choice and opinion of the Bari community which is opposed to the idea of hosting the capital for whatever reasons.
We equally want to extend our thanks and gratitude to the people of central Equatoria in general and Bari community in particular for having hosted all South Sudanese communities during the CPA era till now. We thank you for your decision to have the capital of the republic of South Sudan moved or relocated to another state in Southern Sudan. Juba will remain an industrial city as it’s the case in other countries in Africa and elsewhere in the world.
Last but not the least, we would like to appeal to the youth of Lakes state in general and Yirol County in particular where Ramciel is located to desist from any hostilities that may derail and hamper the ambitious plan of moving the capital city to Ramciel. You need to change your mind-sets and engage in peaceful activities that will give other Southerners a good impression that you are peace-loving citizens, and that no one will ever live to regret later for having relocated the capital to your state or County should there be rampant insecurity and other ill-treatments!
Long live the Republic of South Sudan!
Long live the Unity of the people of South Sudan!
Long live our president, General Salva Kiir Mayardit!
Thank you very much.
