TORIT, 29th January 2012 [Gurtong] – The Governor of Eastern Equatoria State, Hon. Louis Lobong Lojore has announced that a new cabinet will soon be named and shall be formed based on individual’s merits.

Speaking during the swearing in of the State Assembly members last Tuesday, Hon. Lobong promised that he is considering academic qualifications, experiences and past performance of the new cabinet team.

However, in order to avoid tribalism and nepotism, the Governor vowed to equally represent EES through a better represented transitional cabinet that reflects a version of all ethnicities and the present 8 Counties as part of resolving marginalization.

“Am going to form a cabinet based on your experiences. I need a cabinet that delivers and perform far better than the present one. I need those who are competent to toil and deliver better services,” Governor Lobong said.

Lobong urged MPs and State citizens to help identify competent people to join his administration. He reiterated that his newly established caretaker Government will continue to deliver services awaiting the formation of a new government.

He informed Parliament that before his final decision, the list of nominees shall first be presented to the them for scrutiny and approval.
